Sylvan Learning of St. Petersburg

We brought our daughter to Sylvan when she was falling behind in 1st grade. She was struggling with reading and math and lacked confidence. It has been the best investment we've made! One month in and we are seeing a major turn around - our daughter is no longer hesitating to read, she is way more confident in sounding out words and is beginning to get excited about reading, which is all we could hope for! I highly recommend investing in Sylvan. Ms. Jan is wonderful as is the entire team there. They know how to create an environment that motivates the kids. Thank you!!

For the last 7 years my daughter has attended private school and received very good grades. I recently noticed that one of her friends in the same grade level at a public school reads at a much higher level. I took my daughter into Sylvan and had her tested. I turns out she was behind in reading and math. The friendly, helpful and kind staff at Sylvan developed a lesson plan for my daughter and I have noticed an unbelievable improvement in her reading and math skills. I highly recommend Sylvan and the great staff they employ at this location.

My experience has been seamless. Jan has been very helpful with all steps to get my son onboard and learning! My daughter did a block of hours when she was in Kindergarten and got caught up on many things for her age as she had been between 2 schools. Now my son is here and catching up on skills that he needs to complete 3rd Grade FSA's. I am so happy we came to Sylvan for tutoring. I would highly recommend them.

My son went from a D in algebra to an A in a matter of 2 weeks! After his grades went up we did not re-enroll - BIG MISTAKE - his grade went right down to a C. The key for us was to keep in him enrolled. We are currently using their homework help tutoring. Its great - no more fights and trying to understand and help him with his ever increasingly difficult homework! I would highly recommend Sylvan. We will by trying their SAT prep over the summer

In four weeks, my daughter’s progress was incredible. She went from a 1.7-3.4 in math and 2.1-2.5 in reading. The director and tutors listen to what your child’s needs are and do whatever is needed to have them succeed. On top of that, they are lovely people. I couldn’t be more grateful for everything they are doing for my daughter.
